My 79 year old dad loves them because he hears everything on his computer. He takes out his hearing aid and puts on the connected headset. Then no matter what content he can mix to understand. I sent the mic cable straight to the computer with an extension cord so he could video chat with someone and mix their voices so they could understand. This is a simple three-band EQ, better than the single sweep gain found on computer speakers, but not as granular as a parabolic EQ like the Behringer FBQ800 mono EQ. In our case, my dad prefers simpler controls, even if that means you can't mix each ear separately, even if each ear's hearing loss is different.
