Weak clip and fasteners

I bought this stand because of its unusually long reach, but because of its long reach there is significant pressure on the clip when the stand is fully extended. The clip is not suitable for securely attaching the camera adjustment stand. There is also a ball joint that allows your camera to rotate. This socket is secured with a plastic nut that broke when I tried to position the camera.
