The one I have has -50 on the display and doesn't change. I put it in boiling water and ice, no change. I have requested a replacement and will update the rating based on the return experience and the quality of the replacement. TO UPDATE. The replacement was delivered very quickly and works as advertised. All companies will have multiple BooB (Bad of Box) products. What makes a good company is how they deal with substitutes. I gave this item 4 stars for the item itself. and the return experience is also 4 stars. Would give a 5 if the replacement included a return label.
