Just got this thermometer and just tested it in an ice bath to make sure it's accurate. It worked great. The display is nice and big. The backlight is nice. I think a graduated probe would make it easier to get that deep into some cuts of meat. The only negative thing I noticed is that the magnet is a bit weak. This is my first Lavatools product and I am very satisfied. I really need an instant read thermometer that is both instant and accurate. And since we wash everything, it has to be waterproof (so I needed a new one and the old one didn't). I use it on the grill, smoker and in the kitchen.
