The color wheel is excellent, the range is good, the controller feels comfortable. I'm happy with the device except for one thing, which is a shame because that's one of the most important parts: the music modes are terrible and the passive color-changing modes aren't much better. I have connected a direct line. -in so as not to delay the use of the built-in microphone. I've spent a lot of time playing with all the options and settings and none of them are worth running. The best mode it has is just shimmering colors in a boring, repeating pattern. There's no smart dimming or color shifting etc, and the response to music is so sensitive it seems out of sync with the rhythm. Every little note, voice, etc. causes a blink. My buddy walked in and noticed what looked like a strobe light and got a headache. I can't run this during a party and unfortunately I was really hoping for that. Just for running static colors is great.
