These measuring cups were on sale and I liked the large easy to read sizes so I ordered. Given the price I figured if they lasted a year before the measurements dropped I'd be happy. It turns out that the blue measurement markings are a silicone-like material molded into the measurement cups, so the measurement can't wear off with normal use. The image below shows the back of one of the measuring cups and 3 small blue dots where the marking material runs through the cup. So far I am satisfied with the measuring cups. They're white plastic, so I don't measure things like tomato sauce that can stain. And the 2 largest cups will flex at the handle when filled with heavy material.
