UPDATE: After using it for a while I noticed that it doesn't have enough power to heat a drink if you let it. to warm up. This doesn't lower my rating as I'm not sure I'd buy a more powerful 3 power heating pad, but there are a few things to note. So skip the morning news and get back to work! UPDATE: After even longer use, I noticed that my coffee mugs don't have a flat bottom (anyone have one?), but rather a slightly concave bottom, so that actually only the outer rim is in contact with the bottom with the warmer. No lack of warmer design, but reality. So my experience is that it stays warm longer than just sitting on your desk, but not as long as in an insulated travel mug. From time to time it may be necessary to go to the microwave.
