These lightweight strings offer excellent value for money. They work great, and it's fun to play with the different modes available from the remote, but they're essentially useless unless you're probably using them around a sign or something, not for lighting. I bought them with the idea of hanging them from the ceiling. Awning fabric for subtle lighting at night. However, they just aren't bright enough for that, even the brightest. (I bought a cream/amber color. Maybe clear would have been a little lighter.) There's nothing wrong with them and the price is good. But it's just not enough light for my purposes.
