I ordered this product because I've been working hard on my 40 year old face for the past few years, including many medical chemical peels at home. This product definitely gives you the effects of a mild chemical peel. Having tried so many different types of acids, including strong ones, I am quite experienced with products containing acids. At first I only had to use half of a pad as it has enough moisture to cover my entire face. So it takes twice as long. In fact, I tore off 1/3 of a piece once and it still covered my face. Second, the shine that stays on your face comes from every time I do a medical chemical peel at home. It will be more obvious tonight, but since I do them before bed, it doesn't matter. I have used TCA glycolic, milk and chemical peels over the years, and always in medical grade percentages. (Please do your research if you do this as they can be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. You must also wear sunscreen and avoid the sun, not only to avoid sunburn but because brown spots may appear when the protective layer is removed and cured by chemicals). Although this is a softer product I will still wear sunscreen and big hats. My skin is very sensitive, but since I do this a lot, I'm used to being sensitive to certain acids. Daily use may be too strong and your skin may become irritated. I would only use it a few times a week. At the moment I'm doing another major overhaul, so I'm trying every day. I have a slight sting, but this happens every time I use facial acids. This feeling tells me that this is a strong product. The next day I need an extra moisturizer, which is common with these products. Many years ago I used a similar product to these pads which were just as strong and for the same price. They are NOT comparable to cheap acne pads. It's a whole different combination when you read the ingredients. They contain acids that can even out skin tone and reduce wrinkles. Typical acne pads, but that's like comparing apples to oranges. Rather than doing a very harsh chemical peel intermittently, these products help make it more manageable, but it takes a lot longer. I'll come back and update after I finish most of these pads. But I already know that they are extremely powerful and effective for evening out skin tone. You have to make it easy for yourself. A little is enough, and since the product contains a combination for a gentle chemical peel, all you have to do is take your time. These types of products are ideal for people with acne or uneven skin tone like sun spots or pimples. I didn't realize how uneven my skin tone was until I started using acid based products and I was blown away. I've gotten rid of my skin using products with these ingredients for years. People think I did the job. I highly recommend this product. They are high quality and luxurious. (Believe me, I've tried the best of the best).
