Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought for Lexus LS400

I had to replace this sensor on my wife's car. I can't remember the bank or part number of the sensor I needed to replace but like my RX300 I went to the Denso website to make sure I had the correct item and then came here to Revain. I saved about $20 by buying it direct from Denso and about $35 by buying it at my local parts store. To replace this sensor on the woman's car, the carpet on the passenger side had to be removed and the cable routed through the floor panel/firewall. ALWAYS use a lubricant to make it easier to remove next time. Just apply compound to the sensor threads, don't bother applying it to the exhaust pipe. This sensor was a bit more difficult to remove than on my RX300, but I think it was because I didn't use anything to loosen the rust. / stuck parts. On my RX300 the following process has worked pretty well for me and I recommend it any time you need to replace one of these sensors: 8 oz. Liquid (KROIL) on/around the threads of the sensor and tapped the sensor to seep through. a total of 3 times I left it overnight. I bought this version because it already has a connector. If you're good at soldering, you can just cut a connector off an old (bad) sensor and solder it to a connectorless version of that sensor, saving you a few more bucks. If I had understood that sooner, I most likely would have gone down this path.

Pros

Cons
  • Can't remember
