Does exactly what it should!

There are several USB-C ports on the front of my computer case, but there is no USB-C port on my motherboard. I used this little dongle to adapt a USB 2.0 port to USB Type-C. Obviously the Type-C ports don't have full functionality, but for moving files and images to and from my phone it works fine.

Pros

Supports all motherboards with a 19-pin USB 3.0/3.1 connector that can convert the existing USB 3.0 ports on the motherboard to USB 3.1 ports, providing the USB 3.1 port on the chassis even without the need for USB 3.1 a suitable mainboard can be used.
