Does exactly what it should!

There are several USB-C ports on the front of my computer case, but there is no USB-C port on my motherboard. I used this little dongle to adapt a USB 2.0 port to USB Type-C. Obviously the Type-C ports don't have full functionality, but for moving files and images to and from my phone it works fine.

Simple adapter to solve a unique problem

I don't think many modern motherboards or cases require the option to use this adapter but I have a z390-h with 2 3.0 ports and my new case had a 3.1 socket. So I bought this, plugged it in, plugged in the cable and it solved my unique problem. If you absolutely need another Type-C connector on your motherboard and you have a spare connector for it, then yes, it will come in handy in this situation as well.

Hilarious Electronics

The thing is about the size of a bottle cap. It was in a padded plastic envelope and in a box that would hold about 100 more for 50 times the price. Now about how it works. Installation took 3 seconds. Worked on first boot. It worked perfectly. As. This is an easy fix for a broken or missing port on your system board. At least in combination with a $12 PCIe card. It never ceases to amaze me that even if you can't find the exact solution, a PCIe card with that particular port can almost alwaysโ€ฆ

Worked fine on my latest build.

Does exactly what you would expect by modifying the USB3 Gen1 motherboard connector to be used with the cable that is now included in many cases (a Corsair 4000D Airflow in my case). It's nice to have a working USB-C port on the case. As you can see from the product photo, this adapter has a relatively low profile and is easy to integrate - once installed. You can't even tell it's there.

Exactly what I needed: Computer and accessories

I wanted two more USB-C ports on the back of my computer but didn't have any free PCIe slots. What I had was a couple of empty expansion slots. So I've got a bunch of USB-C ports and two bad guys that I've plugged into the sockets on some USB 3.0 expansion cards. Of course they don't have full speed USB C, but for what I did it was fine. In the next update I will get a mobo with more USB-C ports (there weren't any on this board, only one port on the I/O board and only one USB 3.0) but in thisโ€ฆ
