The product works after you try it - video capture and editing software is not for the faint of heart!

I have read all the negative reviews for this product with the problems listed. I guess I have all these problems! The fundamental problem with the product is that it doesn't have a user manual to guide you through the seemingly common problems that everyone faces. The manual that comes with the product is a concise installation guide! If you are not patient or do not have enough dexterity, this product will be difficult for you. Anyway, here are the problems listed (I've seen them all!) and the recommended action: 1-"Device is busy or unavailable": This doesn't always happen, but the solution is as follows. Disconnect the USB converter, click the "Refresh" button, and it will show the camera's built-in computer output. Now plug the device back in, click Refresh and select the recording device. 2- "Copyrighted Material”: It appears multiple times on some tapes. When the message appears, stop recording and start again. When you are finished recording all segments of the tape (this problem can occur more than once on the same tape), merge all files into one standard using MPG-2 (standard recording compression). See the video in the "Device Setup” section " on. In North America, this is NTSC-MJ. The actual work happens after capturing, merging (design), converting to appropriate standards and producing (DVD, etc.). , almost 4-5 GB per hour). I'm still experimenting with compression options, but it looks like WMV (Microsoft Video Compressor) is the most efficient.
