Prevents stuff from rattling in the trunk (if you ever turned a corner and wondered what that was?). Now I realize I'm being a bit picky here. I have one of those things with a battery powered power cord. He wants to charge every month. Every time I go after him, the pinch handles get stuck in the net (tie, catch, get stuck). After all, it is a network. That's all. Unsmooth things get stuck until you pull them off. Which doesn't really matter if you have both hands free. If you only have one hand because of other bags or things. it's a pain So remember, THIS IS THE NETWORK.
