At almost twice the price of a standard door closer, I had a hard time deciding which to buy. I wondered if all of its features would be something I would use, or just a few fancy settings on a standard closer that I wouldn't use. Block and inserted this new block. Using only my fingers, I adjusted the tension so that the door closed gently. My installation required no tools and took less than 5 minutes. The door closer itself is very good. Super soft and quiet. The door now seems to float in the air when opened and closes much quieter than my old door closer. The "Easy Release" function is very handy, I rarely use it, but when I need it I'm very happy to have it. In our screen room (lania) we have two doors that need a closer. We go in and out of one 5 to 10 times a day, we use the other 10 times a month. I will definitely buy this door closer for the door that we use so often, for our other door that we use a lot less, I'll stick with the standard door closer at half price.
