It still works. More than a month continuously and it still works.

So I said to myself I'll put batteries in this thing, see how long it lasts and then write a review. But I refused. On May 21st I popped in a pair of NiMH AAs, switched it to high and set it to steady mode which eliminates flickering. I didn't turn on the timer so it runs 24 hours a day. It's now June 29th and it's still working although I think it's weakened a bit so I'll call it good and write a review now. So what's good and bad about this thing? Good: It's phenomenally effective. The light is a pleasant yellow, but not orange. It gives off a decent amount of light at altitude. I hung it in the bathroom because there is no outlet where I want a night light and there is enough light to see what I'm doing without turning on the B-17 landing lights around the mirror. At low level it's a nice glow, let's say you can clearly see where the candle is so you don't trip over something with your foot, but it doesn't bring much useful light into the room. Mediocre: The remote works very well, but if you lose the remote, you're out of luck - the switch in the base can turn it on and off, but it always starts up in candle flicker mode; There's no way to put it on continuous mode or set the timer without a remote. Negative: The cover on the underside is VERY difficult to unscrew. I'm saying that this is a middle-aged guy who has no problem with arm strength. If in doubt, use pliers. Luckily the battery springs are strong enough to hold the batteries in place without the cover and now I've lost the cover (good liberation!) but heck this may require a redesign. this candle. I had to buy 3 packs, I wonder if they will all respond to the same remote control.

Pros
  • Easy to use with remote control and timer. You can easily turn the flameless candles on and off with the remote control. And each electric candle has 4 built-in daily cycle timers. You can use the remote control to select the timer you want. In a 24-hour cycle, the candlelight turns on and off automatically according to the timer you set.
Cons
  • Good but not great
