I bought this for my emergency backpack and so far everything works as advertised. My two favorite features are the reading light and all the ways to power this thing. It has a hand crank as well as a small solar panel, which is what I was initially looking for. It has its own rechargeable 18650 battery as well as room for your own 3 AAA. It's compact and seems quite well put together. I used to need to use a reading light due to a power outage and it worked fine. It was only out for 15-20 minutes so I'm not sure how long the battery will last, but it was more convenient than using candles or flashlights. One final note: when you turn on the radio, there's a slight delay and the speaker can get pretty loud, so don't turn it all the way up. Another small hint: Make sure that the toggle switch between LI-ION and Power AAA is in the right place. I thought it was broken when I first turned it on because the switch was set to AAA and I didn't put AAA batteries in it. Switching to LI-ION solved this problem. My only additional wish to this would be a battery indicator. It has an indicator light, but it would be nice to have more accurate measurements.
