The swing is well built and my son loves to swing on the seat. However, the rope is made of cheap polypropylene. The supplied rope is already showing clear signs of wear after a few months of use. If your playset is in a sunny location, you should expect exposure to UV rays quickly. The tragedy is that you can't tell by looking at the rope how much strength it has lost. The rope supplied with this product is not designed to last longer than it takes a child to grow this seat (maximum 2 years). If you have a growing family, this product is not for you. If it's for your last child, it will likely help. If you plan on using it for a while, just keep an eye out for the clicks, hits, and weeps.
