Adaptec is known for its SCSI cards. They have been made for years! This card is designed to connect up to 7 devices, preferably Ultra SCSI devices with a maximum transfer rate of 20 MB/s. Be careful, this card does not have a BIOS boot ROM, so you cannot boot from any device connected to this card. If you need it, please buy AHA-2940. You can connect Zip/Jaz drives, CD-ROMs, CDR/CDRW drives, hard drives, etc. This card has an internal 50-pin IDC connector and an external HD68 connector. Easy installation and no problems, highly recommended with 5 stars. I've been using this card with a CD and CD-ROM burner on a Windows 98 machine for several years.
