Review on 🐻 Udap Bear Resistant Canister - NO-FED-Bear by Donotello Figueroa

Good canister for the price

Was camping in Yosemite a few weeks ago and needed an approved bear canister. Bear cans have been hard to come by due to COVID, presumably due to limited production. This was the cheapest canister we could find, delivered on time before our trip and licensed for rural Yosemite. It's small, smaller than the ones you would rent in Yosemite. However, my friend and I managed to pack all of our groceries, toiletries and other flavored items into one canister for our 3 nights in the country (as well as the junk we produced). We had to squeeze all our meals or put them in smaller haversacks, we also only traveled with toiletries (you really don't need a whole tube of toothpaste or sunscreen). We painted it orange to make it easy to find and wedged it into the rock formations. The canister held up well and we had no issues with the locking mechanism (although the temperature stayed above 55F our altitude was around 9000 feet). We've found that if you pack the canister too tightly next to the locking mechanism, it will get stuck and harder to open, so keep that in mind as you pack. We had a multi tool with us, but we always opened it a quarter way because that seemed easiest and didn't damage the screw. Overall we are very happy with this canister, in fact we bought a second one for long trips and a third one as a gift for our friend :)
