I use the Colombian version of Precipe (better pockets, worse hood, no vents, smaller pack size, and better outer material for cold weather), but there's no kid's version, and my kids wear special "winter coats" because they don't want to mess around with them Layers. So that's great (if your kid isn't too boxy, this is for skinny kids). All of the adult features seem to be included in the kid version, and the loose pocket feature that bugs me in the adult version works really well for kids in a hurry.
