The combination of blade modifier and setter works as advertised. I have an Andis T contour machine and after taking it apart and following the instructions on the internet I could see where the top (stationary) blade showed an even shine from rubbing. Just be careful not to run the blade completely straight, as any deflection can damage the plastic casing, which could be more durable. All in all a good tool to help the blades do their best to get the cleanest lines.
