Review on 🔩 McGard 84554 Chrome Cone Seat Wheel Installation Kit: M12 x 1.25 Thread Size (5 Lug Wheels) by Alexander Chavis

Pros: Brilliant chrome, McGard guarantees for life they won't rust. Wheel lock is not universal - every key and nut set is slightly different and comes with a code to re-order the key if you lose it. They are a bit more expensive but seem good given the lifetime warranty. Cons: Does not include the valve stems shown in the picture! I was waiting to pick up my tires to have them fitted so I could use all the new valve stems and they weren't even included. Just another issue. They also don't thread all the way to the end of the nut, so they come out of the bottom before hitting the back. You don't want them snagging on the threads or you won't have a good grip on your wheels. Notes: This is a 60 degree cone seat. Not all lug nuts are created equal and you need to ensure your wheels have a 60 degree tapered fit. My OEM Nissan 240sx wheels have this type of seat, as do my aftermarket work wheels. Also, I really only needed the 4 bolt kit (part 84454) and it's $2 off but would have arrived a day late so I bought the 5 bolt kit and have extra cleats just in case.
