I used to use a lever opener to open almost any bottle of still wine. But when the composite plugs came out (cork particles held together by a polymer) they stripped the Teflon from the coil and wore out the lever opener gears. Then I tried Coutale. I like the dual action where you can push the cork out halfway and then use the bottom to finish the job. The coil isn't too thick to rip the dryer plug and it seems to work well with composite plugs. This is a better bottle opener than many similarly designed but poorly made competitors. I gave away all my children for Christmas.
