This is a solid and nicely built unit which I hope I never have to use. If I ever need to use it I have no doubt it will be with complete confidence. The 2" insert is machined from solid steel. The D-ring is a solid piece of aluminum that needs to be shaped to fit in order to be pulled at different angles. If I need to remove it from the insert, I can put it in myself to my frame. Noise barriers are good. They are flimsy and I'm not sure how many hard pulls there are before they deform unless pulled straight. I hope they aren't needed by anyone else to help me get out, or get out too many others I'm happy with the product and would recommend it.
