Just starting to learn carving/planing and got my hands on this little Beaver Craft knife and it comes in very handy for those hard to reach places. It arrived quite sharp but I think it could have been a little thinner and I sharpened it to make the blade a little thinner otherwise it's fine. The grip has a big, comfortable curve and you can "tailor" it to your liking, which is nice when you can customize it to fit your own grip style, and it's easy to do. The blade is held fairly firmly in the handle, even with a lot of pressure it never moved! I would recommend this knife to anyone starting out with planing and caution those who do to get a glove! I have to do that too as every carving is a bit dangerous! A miss and a razor sharp blade. Well, be careful! G2
