I keep my finches in a large Prevue Pet Products Cage F040 Wrought Iron cage. This cover is great for covering up before bed. It's slightly larger than a cage but still fits well. The front panel of the lid can be flipped open for easier access to the front of the cage. Before sleeping, I leave the front section open to give the birds time to adjust and find a roost, then cover it completely after they're settled. The cover is made of black nylon and is easy to clean. The seams are being worked on. It's not fluffy like a blanket, so bird droppings won't stick. It blocks light well but not completely. There are two fabric strap handles on the top of the case that allow you to remove everything at once. Unfortunately I destroyed the nest in my cage by plucking. Many of my cage accessories hang from wires that can snag on the lid. I take it off more carefully now. The lid came in a clear vinyl pouch which I think you could store it in, but there was no way I was able to fold it up as compactly as it came. During the day I just roll it up and push it onto a shelf under my cage. Overall I am satisfied with this case. It's better than a blanket!
