Review on πŸ”§ Makita XAG26Z Brushless Cordless Lithium Ion Grinder by Pop Henneghan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Uses a special mounting system and only wheels with the matching mounting base

The coffee grinder is powerful and well built. I didn't realize it used a special attachment system when I bought it. It's larger than I expected, but I'm used to using Makita's 18v sub-compact tools, and they're the same size as the 12v line, so I don't know what I'm getting have thought. I really like the paddle and the lack of locking. It has redundant safety so you can't accidentally hurt yourself while changing wheels or lifting etc. And while the mounting system must have proper cross-mount wheels, it's really solid and grindable. I used it to cut a few sections of 2" 160 gauge oil field tubing and it killed the tubing with no problem, only stopping once to check square and I didn't use cutting wheels, I used a grinding wheel .The wheel they shipped with it in the box so the contact area with the tube was about 5/16" thick = too much to do what I did. But I wanted to know if he could do that, and I was impressed with everything with one exception, this resulted in a freshly charged 5mah battery dropping to 2 bars on the battery gauge, of course this is a volatile battery but with proper use you can use any battery you've ever had use very well. The more the better if you use it all the time.My 2.0mah only manages about 3-5 cuts with a 1/16 cutoff, the 5.0 battery is significantly larger. It only drips in the 3rd strip of four, until the 2.0 is back on the charger ffe, that helps someone. So I submitted a review. i try to be honest
