X-LOCK quick change system allows for tool-free wheel changes with simple snap-on mounting and pull release lever for change-out. The BL Brushless Motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the BL Motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life; delivers 8,500 RPM. Active Feedback-sensing Technology (AFT) turns the motor off if rotation of the wheel is suddenly forced to stop. Electric Brake stops the grinding or cut-off wheel in 2 seconds or less for maximum productivity. Automatic Speed Change technology adjusts speed and torque during operation for optimum performance.

It's better than twine!

I can't tell you how much I love not having to find an outlet for my extension cord and then unwinding the cord back to my desk. The 5 amp HR batteries last decently, for longer or heavy use you get 2 batteries. XLock is extremely convenient, I hope more instrument makers will adopt this style and more brands will start making discs. In general, convenience is the name of this game!

Don't wait, use the battery

Cordless mode is definitely the best thing about this grinder. I don't know why I waited so long, it's just so much more convenient. Lots of power AND enough battery for all the jobs I've had. I'm a supplement, compared to my wired version, this one has a few upgrades. The tool-free disc change is so quick and easy that I really like this function. The protective devices can also be replaced and adjusted without tools, which is also very convenient. The brake saves time and is much safer. Evenโ€ฆ

Uses a special mounting system and only wheels with the matching mounting base

The coffee grinder is powerful and well built. I didn't realize it used a special attachment system when I bought it. It's larger than I expected, but I'm used to using Makita's 18v sub-compact tools, and they're the same size as the 12v line, so I don't know what I'm getting have thought. I really like the paddle and the lack of locking. It has redundant safety so you can't accidentally hurt yourself while changing wheels or lifting etc. And while the mounting system must have properโ€ฆ
