My mount just came off the dashboard. I had some glue left, so I prepped the dash again with rubbing alcohol and a clean microfiber cloth. The alcohol was 70% finished antiseptic isopropyl alcohol (as opposed to medicinal alcohol which contains fragrances and oils). I let the dashboard dry completely. My muscles spasmed. I left it overnight. The next day I squeezed it again and left it for another day. The next day I carefully attached the GPS to the bracket. The first time I tried to adjust the angle of the screen, the stupid bracket came loose again. No adhesive sticks equally well to all materials. Maybe the light faux leather on the dashboard in my car doesn't like this glue. It can stick stubbornly to some functions and poorly to others, no matter how closely the instructions are followed. Having said that, I'll just use my own strips of 3M VHB tape and attach it to my hitch instead of using a suction cup. To install. (The suction cups always give out sooner or later and the GPS falls.) I am not happy with this mount. It should have been stuck to the dashboard. I used to use a Garmin disc on this suction cup mount dash. This drive was fine for at least 3 years until I removed it to fit this new bracket. All in all, I had to abandon the old arrangement and simply pay more attention to the fact that the suction cup was properly cleaned and fixed before each ride.
