Okay, but if you can get something else, take this.

This docking station has a lot of features for its price. 3 USB 3.0 ports on the back and 1 on the front. It also has an HDMI port that supports VESA Alternate Mode. It also features a headphone jack and delivers up to 85W of power. It seemed perfect for my Acer Spin 5. When I first got it I thought it was defective when it started tearing the screen when I was outputting video to my monitor. I suspect the dock is prematurely sending a video signal to the monitor which is causing this as I was able to fix it by playing around with the refresh rate/resolution and also cycling my monitor until the signal is good (My monitor is good as the dock station has the same issue with various other displays in my house). The audio connector is noisy and a ground loop isolator is recommended if you intend to do professional work on the connector. The ethernet port used to work, but now it just lights up and my computer doesn't recognize it. Luckily I have a network adapter plugged into it (it's also a USB hub). USB ports are good and fast, but too hot. I've often pulled out USB sticks that were hot enough to burn my fingers on the metal. This dock is also very hot to the touch. It can slightly heat the wood underneath (1/2 inch thick) making it very warm, but not a fire hazard. This dock also doesn't like external hard drives/Razer products/Xbox controllers. It also disconnects and connects it frequently until the PC reports it as a failed USB device. I'm assuming this start/stop is bad for my hard drive health. Multiple dock restarts usually fix this. My USB DVD drive works fine. My Razer keyboard and mouse pad also function as an external hard drive. My Logitech F310 also turns off mid-game. These devices work great when plugged directly into my computer, even when they're all stacked on the same USB hub. All in all, this dock is crappy than using one of those all-in-one hubs in every way except looks. This makes the table look neat and clean. If you're someone who can live with these issues, get this docking station. If you're looking for a docking station that works without constant adjustments, look elsewhere.
