I have been using these cage covers in a dog environment for the last 6 months or so. Some dogs have grabbed the lid and gnawed off part of the door panel, but for the most part they're pretty sturdy and attach well to the drawer. If that was the only problem I would buy them again and keep replacing as needed in case the dogs get damaged. My main issue with these cases is that they are almost impossible to keep clean. When a dog has a messy cage in a cage, it's a bit annoying when he takes the cage off and then doesn't get in the washer or dryer. I can hose them down and air dry or clean the stain, but I don't have time for that and it's not exactly hygienic. I have a lot of dirt and dust even with the air purifier, so my kennel needs to be clean. quite often removed. These covers attract all of the debris from the air and there is no easy or effective way to remove that debris. I've tried wiping them with different cloths, vacuuming and many other ways, but the dirt stayed in the fibers of the outer coating. The inner layer washes well and I want this material on both sides as I think it's easy to wipe clean. Next time I'll try covers that I can throw in the washing machine. If your dog and canine area is relatively dirt free and you don't care how clean the mat stays, this is a fantastic mat option, but not ideal for me.
