The shelf works well but there are two major downsides: The pin that holds the shelf is terrible. I bought two of these, installed them and decided to adjust the placement due to the need for wiring. The first was almost impossible to remove (yes, I know the pin had to be detached first) and the second broke in my hand as soon as I touched it before I could exert myself. I had to secure it with a zip tie after paying $24 for a metal corner piece and some velcro. Velcro straps for attaching equipment are not suitable for medium-sized components. It's too long and not particularly practical for use with a consumer-sized switch, router, or modem. It's probably okay if you never need to tweak placement, but it's still significantly overpriced considering you'll likely have to fiddle with it or tamper with it.
