I didn't pay attention to the thickness when ordering and it looks the same as the other 5 or 6 I've had. substitute. It seems like these little EGR controls are only good for a year or two. And sometimes I just ride and endure a little bump and tug for a year or so before I replace it again. Maybe one day I'll get one that lasts 5 years, but I'm not sure if neither I nor the pickup will still be on the road at that point. Anyway, it's been a week and it's working fine. Edit: Took a ride and after about 1000 miles my check engine light came on again in the middle of Montana and now it's jumping and shaking again, mostly when the engine is cold.
