I bought two of these along with a double bolt monitor mount (from another company) to keep my HP Pavilion 23bw monitors off the desk and more importantly to sit higher. I have a great ergonomic chair but I still flexed. Converting the 23bw to a VESA mount allowed me to sit with a better posture. The only downside is the extra depth, and those adapters and mounts (probably) brought the monitors about two inches closer to me. But the level of flexibility in positioning my monitors exactly how I want them far outweighs that. These adapters snap onto the 23bw very securely and have threaded rods to stabilize the monitors (I don't use rods at the moment). The uniform black powder coating is more than adequate for this concealed application, and the piece itself is well made (one of these has a small ridge that was covered in paint, but since I can't handle that I didn't mind).
