Read reviews. Bought. lasted maybe a week. The wires on the Thunderbolt port adapter (after carefully disassembling the entire assembly) were soldered to just a few microwires. Pulling an HDMI cable connected to this adapter would actually disable any of these adapters (regardless of the manufacturer, of which there are many) within minutes. The weak link is the thin cable wires between HDMI and Thunderbolt. Both connectors must be mounted in a single solid housing to withstand the forces involved in connecting an HDMI cable. The best option I can say is to buy another one and glue supports to the connectors to reduce stress on the small wire between them.
