The essential oil diffuser plate is really rusty. And the entire lamp looks like it is very old and has been through some hardships and heartbreaks. One of the bulbs came completely shattered, and ity bity shards of glass fell out all over the place, so be sure to open the bulb boxes over a trash can just in case.I'm going to return it and get another one because one of the other reviewers said her replacement lamp was amazing.*Fingers crossed*-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE! 5/1/18I did NOT end up returning the lamp.After emailing back and forth a few times with Candy (an Amoystone staff member) I was informed that the stone and plate could be cleaned with some vinegar. I tried it out and It worked! I wasn't able to get all of the rust off of the diffuser cup but I was able to get most of it. The salt lamp itself looks good as new.All the photos are of the same lamp. The unwrapped photos are after I cleaned it with vinegar.The dimmer switch works well (with the light bulb that did make it through shipping). And the lamp gets warm enough for the diffuser to work. Candy assured me she'd be able to send me a replacement bulb. Will she? Only time will tell.Does a Himalayan salt lamp actually do all the good things for your health that everyone claims? Beats me. But worst case scenario you get a really pretty night light and an essential oil diffuser. Not too shabby.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------UPDATE 10/26/18They never sent the replacement bulbs. They just said they would so that I'd raise my rating. Meh. Lamp still works though.
