I bought these two packs for my 2018 born twins. I've been using them for over two years now, first in my kids' cribs and now in my cribs. Luckily we didn't have too many incidents when the kids were little, but as they got older we had a few diaper leaks at night and this cover never seemed to do anything. Each time the mattress underneath is wet as if there was no extra layer at all. It seems like it should work, but in my experience it just doesn't. I'll be throwing those crib mattresses away soon as they've been peed on a few times already. I don't expect a relatively cheap "waterproof" mattress topper to stop a ton of liquid, like spilling a whole bottle of water on the bed or anything, but I do expect that if my toddler's overnight diaper somehow leaks (after one myself absorb a large amount of liquid) so that the mattress underneath is protected. I've been disappointed every time. If the sheet is wet, the mattress is wet, protective film or not.
