Review on 💻 High-Speed Internet Connection with Renewed ARRIS SURFboard SB6141-RB 8x4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem by Timothy Harper

Bought this ARRIS SB6141 cable modem here from a seller on the Amazon Blazing Prices marketplace for almost thirty dollars. Excellent price. It was a certified remanufactured product that looked new to me. So an excellent price of thirty dollars. It came in what appeared to be an official ARRIS refurbished modem brown box, certified by the ARRIS manufacturer. The modem definitely looked new. It came with a power adapter and ethernet cable, along with some instruction papers. This cable modem SB6141 enabled on COX Internet. Tried to activate itself when the COX internet activation screen appeared on the screen of my Macbook connected directly to this modem with the included ethernet cable, but it would not activate itself. The COX self-activation screen was able to read the serial number of this modem, but apparently not the MAC identification number of this modem. (The modem was shown on COX screens as Motorola RGI6141 - apparently this was the former designation for this modem before ARRIS bought Motorola's modem business.) During the automatic activation process, COX was instructed to call 888 for COX Technical Support. So I called this number and surprisingly spoke to someone right away, provided the serial number of the modem along with the MAC ID, and the modem rebooted and connected to the internet in the activation process. Yes, then climbing on the Internet was possible. Yes! This SB6141 is our upgrade to replace our now ten year old SB5120 cable modem. The old model SB5120 became very moody due to frequent loss of internet connection. The old SB5120 is apparently notorious for having more and more sporadic failures before failing. So I had to buy a new cable modem. Saw this ARRIS SB6141 for a great price as a certified refurbished modem here on Amazon. I was hoping that this SB6141 would activate itself but as mentioned above I had to call COX tech support - which ended up not being difficult and I was very happy because I activated this SB6141 modem. Hope this SB6141 lasts long, but also bought SquareTrade for this modem for three years. Long fingers crossed to use this SB6141 modem!
