So the bathroom sink was completely clogged for a while. The water won't drain anymore, just sit there. I had to scoop it out with a paper cup and pour it down the toilet. But then the next time I opened the faucet, the water finally ran out and stayed down. Hallelujah! It wasn't quite the quick and easy job I've read about in other reviews and I don't know if it was because my technique was wrong or because the week-long clog was so bad, so fair warning. But anyway, it WORKS for a fraction of the cost of plumbing and with no harmful chemicals, which is all I could have hoped for.
