Review on πŸ”’ Time-Synced Token2 miniOTP-2 NFC Programmable Two-Factor Security Token by Jeff Kersey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Easy to use once you figure out some of the cryptic directions.

I bought this token to test with Azure MFA. Typically, tokens of this type are purchased directly from Token2 or through their distribution network and not from Revain. When purchased through this process, you receive the secret encryption key required to set up the token in Azure MFA. Luckily, since it's a programmable token, you can download a tool from the Token2 website that allows you to set up a new key and get a private key. NFC software running either on your phone or on a Windows computer. The phone is simpler as it has an integrated NFC device. The instructions on the Token2 website will help you understand both parts of the software, but they can be more detailed. The phone app gave me some error codes when I tried to use it and it doesn't list any codes anywhere that I could find. I opened a support ticket and within 30 minutes I received an email with a list of all the codes. In general the token works fine, I downgraded the rating by one star as the documentation requires more detail.
