This is a record box. It's really beautiful. It comes in parts and you need to assemble it. So far, so good. You open the box and I swear you have to step on the box to get the wood. Each piece of wood is covered with plastic and tape, then around that piece of wood and next to it another piece of plastic and then another piece of plastic and so on and so on, plastic tape etc until all is one. a sealed block around which is then wrapped another piece of plastic with cardboard end caps and foam side guides which are then also sealed with tape. It takes the manufacturer 20 minutes to wrap this item and about the same time it takes you to roll it out. There are no further claims. Gods only, what an annoying out-of-the-box experience. This is a wooden record box. It doesn't have to be in great condition (and mine has a few small scratches and blemishes anyway; it adds character.
