Purchased for my Dell Inspiron One 2330 Office. Total). It arrived in 2 days and was easy to install. Basically you remove the panel behind the stand, unscrew the 4 screws holding the stand to the back, then the 4 smaller Phillips screws at the bottom of the display frame and slide the frame out. A small - cheap - memory slot cover pops up and you insert new memory. The BIOS will automatically detect the memory, but if you want to be sure, just press [F2] when you see the Dell logo on boot and you're good to go. go into the bios and have a look. F10 to exit and boot your operating system. That's all. I actually run Photoshop CC, CorelDraw, and other applications on this machine (but I'm not a heavy user, so I can't justify a "real" computer), and while it takes forever to load, the extra RAM is certainly noticeable. . If you only run a few apps, like I do most of the day, you'll see the difference too. I use a dual screen setup all the time with Thunderbird, Chrome, Firefox, Excel, Word and Pandora streaming. Then you access the third part of the time, as well as some small things, like velcro and other tools. Overall, the system runs much more smoothly with less latency. I'm old as dirt and I remember the first time I had to add 4MB of RAM to my 486DLC. It cost $320. So now I got 1000x more storage for 11% of the cost. Wonderful. (Actually, I remember my first 8088-based PC with a yellow monitor and two 5.25" floppy disks. No hard drive. Wow! less than 10 minutes. Unless you have Windows updates waiting for you . Do that first queue. Seriously. Really. I'm not kidding. :-)
