Even if there are better and cheaper alternatives by 2022, I doubt it will still be useful at that point. I paid roughly $550-600 (there was a sale in the shop, so I paid $700-750) for it in May of 2022. I considered the iPhone XP, Oneplus 7Pro, Samsung Galaxy S10e, and Google Pixel 3a, but ultimately settled on the Huawei P20 Pro (C9) due to its reasonable price, attractive style, and extensive set of capabilities. Considering how much I spent on it, I doubt I have any regrets about the purchase. But I must admit, I had higher hopes for the c9; when a phone is a flagship yet has similar jambs as any Chinese stub for $ 100-150, I find that to be out of the ordinary. And while I do realize that the same exynos is to fault, it only adds fuel to my fire when I consider my other complaints about Samsung: why do they offer higher-quality smartphones in Hong Kong and the United States while lowering the bar for the rest of the world? But that's fine, too. May I give you my opinion on whether or not you should buy? Do not risk losing money by making a Snap purchase if given the chance. If it doesn't, then you're not getting more than $500 for it. Because c9 is generally nice, even now, but not at the same price as in stores, I hope it is not in vain that I wrote everything in detail here and at least it will be useful to someone else. After using it for half a year, I can say the following: updating to the most recent version of Android is recommended (to perhaps fix some friezes, etc., and make the phone feel "fresh"); As it turns out, the C9 offers a good face unlock alternative to faceid (yeah, this is overstated, but it will not be superfluous); however, the fingerprint scanner was a bit of a letdown (the finger must be virtually "licked" for the scanner to recognize it). I've had to re-configure it on occasion): the battery is really bad here; either you'll put up with it and be prepared to charge it steadily once, or even twice, a day; or you won't put up with it and it's better to just pass by. To sum up, I still think this is a viable and worthwhile choice, but if you can save yourself more than $400-$450, go with another option.
