Don't let the 4.5 stars fool you, this shoe isn't made for the water for the following reasons: 1. It has a cardboard insole that leaves a wet paper mess when you use them in the water. My kid hated it and kept complaining about dirty wet feet.2. If water enters the shoes, it is not filtered, it is simply filled to the top (see my attached photos). This makes the shoes heavy and difficult to move in. The only way to remove water from a shoe is to turn it upside down and pour it out by hand. Shoes are always dry. This problem caused mold to grow on the edge of the shoe, which you can clearly see in one of my photos. *** If you want real water shoes, DO NOT waste your money on them! ***
