I recently bought this for my 'new' used car. While I love my new car, there is limited space to store it. The car also had a key fob and keyless ignition button, so I needed a place to store my keys while driving but close enough to take them with me when it came time to turn off the engine and get out of the car. I just threw them in the cup holder but there are only two of them and if I have a passenger with a drink the seat is taken. Most of the time when I throw them in my purse it's frustrating because they fall on the floor and I have to dig them out, so this little holder is just the thing. I attached the holder to the air vent closest to the ignition and now I put the key fob in the holder, press the button and off you go. On arrival I press the button to stop the car and take the key fob with no problem. Great little item, the silicone makes it easy to clean when needed. Very happy with this purchase.
