Pleated filters arrived wrinkled/bent in places but still very serviceable. It was easy to install. Almost anyone can do it. I am a young woman with no experience. Just find the arrow on the box and turn it (point it) towards the oven. If you can't find an arrow, find a metal grid/grate and place it inside (on the back). After 3 months I went looking for a replacement and lo and behold! It was dark and dusty. It caught dust better than the original fiberglass filter that came with the oven. Whistling Problems Sometimes it produces whistling noises even after replacing it with a new/clean filter. Very annoying. *UPDATE*: I decided to rotate the filter so the pleats are vertical and the whistling stops! If you're facing the same problem as me, I suggest flipping the folds vertically or horizontally, whichever is compatible with your air conditioner. If not, replace the filter with a new one to see if that helps. **Advice I found online says that the pleated filter should generally be replaced every 3 months. 2 months if you have pets or allergies.** Made in the USA!————*UPDATE* Will start whistling again after a few days. I give up. I'm not sure what the problem is. Perhaps these are pleated filters in general. I think that's why some people are suggesting to use fiberglass because it's more breathable. Although the defense isn't that good.
