I have just completed the installation to replace my garage door opener 139.53985D. The original became increasingly difficult to type the keys and perform its functions. I made sure the remote clickers moved out of range of the opener to avoid reprogramming while trying to pair this new device. I first tried following the instruction page that came with it and the attempt failed. Then I noticed a slight difference in the instructions printed and taped to the inside of the lid/cover that says to press the # key after programming the PIN instead of pressing Enter as on the instructions page specified. Now everything works great, I am very happy with the purchase. This block is the same size, color and shape as the original and the mounting screws can be reused as the hole pattern is exactly the same.
