Review on Precision 6 Bar Universal Vehicle Barrier by Rich Fiedler

This is my second purchase of this product. My first: Five stars across the board, so I repurchased this item. However, I now live in Bali which cost me $10.71 to ship from Revain to MN, then $60 to ship from MN to Bali and an additional $28.00 import tax. . Total shipping cost is approximately $99 for a $41.00 item. It seems silly, but dog guards aren't available here, and the cost is small compared to replacing the leather seats in our SUV with a 90-pound Rottweiler pup. This item arrived damaged. One of the leg mounts is broken and not holding the frame under tension, rendering it unusable. I tried to contact the Amazon seller but to no avail. Do I have to spend another $60 to return an item and then reship the $99 to hopefully ship another item safe and sound? Shipping $260 for an item valued at $41. I think I'll have to call it a day and cut losses at some point. I hope Amazon sees this review and either credits my account for the original purchase or sends a replacement part, but I'm not holding my breath and I won't be buying this item again. . Having read previous product reviews I assume this item has a reputation for being damaged. Which is a shame because the first one I had in LA was perfect. Easy to install, quiet (no rattle), safe for dogs, and reliable.
