This whistle is small, easy to see and loud enough for my needs. The volume depends entirely on how hard you blow into it. So if you're exercising indoors, for example, you can "mute" them to indoor volume, but still relax outside and use them at full volume when needed. . People CAN hear that whistle. Soon your dog will associate the whistle with SUPER delicious food and come running* every time he/she hears it!* Be sure to gradually increase the distance and distractions - if you're going from 5 feet in your boring living room to walk 100 yards in a crowded dog park, you are setting your dog up for failure!
